Raw-Vegan Date & Nut Power Spread (Samyama-Friendly)
Raw-Vegan Date & Nut Power Spread (Samyama-Friendly)
This recipe yields a thick, energy-dense spread perfect for two, suitable for a snack, or as part of a 100% natural diet.

Samyama-Friendly Considerations:
- Uses no negative-pranic foods (onion, chili, etc.).
- Relies on natural, raw ingredients (dates and groundnuts/peanuts).
Ingredients

Instructions
- Prepare the Nuts: The most crucial step is properly soaking the nuts.
- Place the nuts of choice in a small bowl and cover with water.
- Soak ideally overnight (8–12 hours, or a minimum of 4 hours). This makes them easier to digest and blend into a smooth paste.
- Drain and rinse the soaked nuts well.
2. Soak the Dates: Place the pitted dates in a separate small bowl.
- Add the 2 to 3 tablespoons of soaking liquid (water or fruit juice).
- Let them soak for 15–30 minutes to soften, or just 5 minutes if they are already soft dates(like Medjool).
3. Blend the Base: Transfer the drained, rinsed nuts and the dates (along with half of the soaking liquid) to a blender.
4. Add Flavor and Spices: Add the lime/lemon juice and the pinch of turmeric powder (if using).
5. Process: Blend on high speed, stopping every 30 seconds to scrape down the sides.
Initially, it will look chunky, but with persistence, the oils from the nuts will be released, and the dates will break down, creating a thick, creamy butter/spread.
6. Adjust Consistency: If the spread is too thick and is struggling to blend, add water or juice just 1/2 teaspoon at a time until a smooth, spreadable consistency is achieved.
7. Final Thickeners (Optional): If using, gently mix in the flaxseed powder at the end. It will absorb moisture and continue to thicken the spread slightly as it rests.
8. Serve: Use immediately as a dip for apple slices, a spread on raw crackers, or simply as a nourishing energy-dense meal replacement.
Enjoy this truly Sattvic and energy-boosting spread!
